our team page

We finally finished our team page! All we have to do is to do the color for the font and then we will be finally done with it. We are doing okay very well with this and i hope everyone else is also. I hope everyone in the class does very well with this project. So far we haven't had any disagreement on the team page or anything and if you do then we are just playing around with each other for fun. I look forward to our final team game and how it is going to turn out to be. Our inspiration for our game is the kids out in the world that don't know how to find the area of an object and I just want to help the kids that don't know how. For me this isn't just a grade, I just want to help those kids out in the world that don't know how to find the area of an object. And then by the end of the game I hope that it will help learn a little bit about area and how to find it. this is the link to our team page: Spider Monkeys!

Paper Prototyping

Today, Sarah, Colton, and I did our video. It took us many trys to get it right. It was diffcult but then again, Sarah and I were laughing most of the time. It was very fun if you listen to what you had to do. I liked this part and we still has to do our game, we just just the paper prototyping part and there is more to be done. I didn't like how you had to say every step that you had to do in the game its like the person is stupid but, it was still good.

Team Expectations

Yesterday, we got into our groups. Sarah which is one of my close friend, and we have made this class very fun. Also Colton is in our group. We have thought of what we would be doing for our game, I'm manager and the game designer. Sarah is the artist and the codes person, and Colton is the sounds. We thought of a Team Name also that we all agreed on "Spider Monkeys" is the name. (: It took a long time to pick our game idea though. But, we finally thought of one... Area. I had the idea of it because I have a good idea for it too, and its easy to do. The best artist in the group is Sarah thats why she is the artist for the team. I'm good at finding resouces for anything. And Sarah and I are the best on Flash. I hope that this will be a good game for us, and I also hope everyone else does good for their game too. And I'm excited to start the game because I think I will learn a lot more about Flash and things that I don't really know how to do.

game idea reflection

The game topic that I have been is Area. This is a very easy thing to get after you have learned it. I find this topic very easy and I feel that I can teach other people that don't know how to find the area of an object. I have made an idea of what I would be doing for my game " gameideasarah" this is the link that have what I'm going to be doing for my game. I am most excited to be making the objects in the game move. I still have to get use to Flash a little before I really know more about it. I remember how to make the object move, but I'm not the best. I want to get better at it so I can make my game without problems. But, as we all know everyone is going to have problems. And the other thing that I am excited about is the end of the game to see if it works the way that I have planned for it to work. And that would be the thing that I'm most worried for, is for my game not to work at the end.

Game Compare

No, I do not play games in my free time. I don't play them in my free time is because I never really have free time to do anything. My life is pretty well full, with track and never going home, my boyfriend, and my life. So, i really never play games. I never liked them either so I guess that another reason why I don't play them. If I play either a mini game and games that are out today, I would rather play a mini game. If you had to pick which one would you play?

Mini Game Project

The past new days we worked and made our mini games. It was easy because I knew some things but, I didn't know how to do everything that we did. I messed on one part and that was when we were making the carrot move left to right and to start over again. It was an easy fix i just put the code on the layer. But, other than that mess up it was easy. I'm not saying that I know everything there is to know about Flash and stuff, but I know more than I didn't before. Taking classes that use Flash before you work on the mini game is better than just using Flash for the first time and you would get confused on it. I took a class for nine weeks that you would learn how to use Flash and now looking back I'm glad that i did it. But anyways, I'm use to it even more than I was.

Flash Intro.

I think that flash is and will be easy. Because, I have already been in flash and it wasn't hard. But, on the comments it said that it would be hard. I will just find out by myself if it is or not. It's not a big thing to do. I think that it will be easy to put two or more pictures together. But, maybe for some people in this class it will be hard for them because they aren't up to date with Flash. But, for me and my experience with Flash i think it'll be easy.

Blog I Follow

I choose Lets Play, Middle School Math, and Math Project. I picked these three websites because they had the highest ranking. It will give me more information about my game. These blogs help me make a better picture of my project and how it should be. What I need to fix when people tell me what I am doing wrong. It helps me think about my topic also. They could be talking about if it isn't the best and some might think it is. People think differently than others. These blogs help me get a better idea. They make me think about what I need to fix and not to fix. And they might not help other people but, they help me get a better idea for my game later.

Social Issue Review

Yesterday, we answered questions on section one and two under Topic Assignments. It didn't go so good without our teacher here, because people would post things that they should have. It talk about the health, poverty, education, civic participation, environment. It asked how they would change our community. And they change our community in different ways. We are trying to fix our environment, so it will get better and better. People are trying to get a lot of people to go Green ( turn of lights, use less water, don't watch to much TV). The president is trying to get better health care for people that don't have very good health care. We're aren't all rich, and we're not all poor either. Our education is the best in the community, but its not the best in the state. And then there is civic participation. Girl/ boy scouts they sell cookies for many different things also they get money for other things to.
